Zoxality DQC — Debian Quick Config

DQC is a terminal-based configuration and provisioning utility for Debian servers. It brings networking, hostname configuration, routes, updates, standard administration tools and optional server functions into one consistent workflow.

DQC attempts to detect existing configuration and installed components before changes are proposed. Dependencies are selected automatically when required. Before changes are applied, a summary is shown and a detailed log is retained after the run.

Debian Quick Config is Zoxality's terminal-based configuration and provisioning tool for Debian systems.

The goal is to make a newly installed or existing Debian server easier to inspect, configure and reproduce without hiding what is being changed.

Consistent server configuration

DQC combines common initial configuration tasks into one workflow. It can inspect the current system, present detected values and allow the administrator to change only what should differ from the existing configuration.

Designed around detection first

Before proposing changes, DQC attempts to discover existing network configuration, hostname settings, routes and installed components. Optional functions can pull in required dependencies automatically.

Review before changes

A summary is presented before changes are applied. After the run, DQC retains a detailed log so that the resulting server configuration can be reviewed and reproduced.

DQC is under active development. Interfaces, available modules and installation logic may change before stable releases are published.

Repository structure

Each public project will have its own source repository together with release information and technical documentation. Shared tooling and infrastructure components may be published separately where that makes maintenance and reuse clearer.
